A couple of the wines have not been Platter tasted or star rated, so we have not printed star ratings against any of the wines.  You are just going to have to trust what we believe to be taste and price value throughout the selection.

Crisp and clean – great interplay between residual sugar and acidity. The mineral core, linked to shale rich soils, astounds, giving structure and the lingering aftertaste. Perfect hot weather wine – very refreshing.

Joubert-Tradauw R62 Cabernet Sauvignon – 2008    R280.00  Tradouw Valley


The nose is dark and musty, marked by freshly laid tar, bitter herbs, almonds and under-ripe blackberries. On the palate, some nice fruits and more herbs show through.


Warwick The First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon – 2014    R170.00  Stellenbosch


The bouquet reveals red berries, black currants, and pleasant herbal characters. Smooth, ripe, round tannins make it easy to drink while still retaining good structure.


Thelema Cabernet Sauvignon – 2011    R425.00  Stellenbosch


Complex and stylish. This wine is bone dry, yet exhibits a lovely sweet fruit character on the palate, with a lovely long finish.
