Fly fishing in the Midlands and at Fordoun

The Natal Midlands is one of South Africas premier fly fishing destinations. At Fordoun we have two dams where guests are welcome to fish at. Both dams have been successful in producing many fish in the local trout fishing competitions.

As well as been able to fish at Fordoun, we also have the services of fishing guru and congenial local personality, John Vynne. He offers guided trips to the Bushman’s River and other fishing destinations, where he will share his expertise with groups or individuals.

We see the option for fishing particularly appealing to large groups that come to Fordoun were some of the individuals would like to spend the day at the Spa and others would like to go fishing. Use picture of John guiding.

Fishing packages

Option A	Fishing on Bushmans for a day of up to 8 hours. We supply a packed breakfast and lunch as part of the package. (Transport is available as optional at R1.75c per km). ZAR 870 pp for an 8 hour day (guided)
Option B	Fishing on choice of surrounding dams. ZAR 830 pp for an 8 hour day (guided)
Option C	Fishing at Fordoun on either of our 2 dams. ZAR 120 pp for the day or R75pp for half day, catch and release (not guided)

The cost of options A and B for each additional guest reduce by 10% per person.
(ie Option A – 2 rods – R 783pp; 3 rods – R705pp; 4 rods - R635pp. Costs for groups of more than 4 rods are negotiable.)

Rods are available at reception at R25 a rod.
